USF researchers bid to get to bottom of student discipline disparities
July 15, 2021

Welcome to Project RISES, a research study that explores school suspensions and the extent to
which perceptions of racism or differential treatment are held by African American adolescents
with multiple school suspensions occurring between August 2018 to present, and families and
community members. The information that follows is designed to inform our community on this
very important research topic.

This research project is made possible by funding from the University of South Florida and Allen Temple AME Church.
